Are you considering buying property in Spain?

Getting a Spanish Mortgage and buying property either in the Spanish mainland or any of the Spanish Islands, has become increasingly popular with the British public for a variety of reasons, such as, the warm climate, affordable prices and fantastic investment opportunities.

Stocks and shares are are giving poor returns and once so called 'safe' pension fund's future are now in more and more doubt on their ability to provide in the long term. As a consequence, many more ordinary people invest their hard earned cash into bricks and mortar by buying an investment or holiday property abroad.

No longer the prerogative of the rich, retirement abroad is now available to a wider range of hard working individuals. The ultimate dream of owning an overseas property turns into reality for hundreds of thousands of British people every year.

There is an ever increasing amount of pre-retired and middle aged investors buying property overseas (either a villa or apartment) to use it as a permanent or partially permanent home in their planned retirement. The ease of raising finance either through a Spanish Mortgage or a Spanish Remortgage (for those who already have a property in Spain or one of the Spanish Islands), enables easy transitions from the UK to their dream home in Spain.

Many more Britons are lured out of the UK to search for the best places in Spain to live and it's not just the warm climate that is readily available, at reasonable costs.

The lower cost of living is also readily taken into consideration by the British public, looking for a higher quality of life, to what their UK pension can provide for them, back in Britain. Spain remains a highly popular destination to retire to, due to the established social communities and very high standards of modern living.
